“Fostering a culture of philanthropy can make a transformational difference to your organisation’s capacity to fulfil its mission.”  Catherine Demetriadi, PhilanthropyPoint Principal

PhilanthropyPoint is a development consultancy for charities, educational institutions, advocacy organisations, and NGOs.  Formerly known as FundraisingPoint, we bring donor relationship building to the forefront of fundraising practice, and help trustees and staff members to understand – and successfully fulfil – their roles as planners, governors, managers, ambassadors, networkers, askers, and donors.

One emerging focus for PhilanthropyPoint is on the many promising, ‘scalable’ charities being set up in developing countries; also, on educational institutions seeking to raise funds from overseas alumni, major donors, grant-making bodies, and social investors.

From our many recent encounters with promising schools, charities, educational institutions, and social enterprises in developing countries, we have become acutely aware of a need for fundraising, governance, communications, administrative, and operational skills to be nurtured rather than being implemented — expensively and often lacking cultural sensitivity — by European and North American consultancies.  We are exploring new philanthropic and social investment mechanisms for providing this support.

With decades of charity development and fundraising experience between them, PhilanthropyPoint Principal Catherine Clark Demetriadi MCIOF and Senior Partner Adrienne Hall invite you to speak with us about how we can support your one-off campaigns, special projects, and overall organisational goals.

We want you to achieve your fundraising objectives in the short- and long-term by making the correct investment in organisational strategy, fundraising planning, donor research, people, and systems.

More about PhilanthropyPoint

‘We would not have been so successful without Catherine’s skill in planning and executing a plan for our capital campaign. She was highly organized, had a good sense of potential donors and how to persuade them to donate. She wrote all the campaign materials, including the basic statement of the campaign, our goals statements and our literature, envelopes and pledge cards. She developed the computer system to track campaign contributions, and logged and analyzed the data herself.

‘Catherine proved herself once again as a greatly skilled and highly competent individual. She has demonstrated that she can successfully focus on and manage a single campaign or act as a consultant for a number of campaigns. She is clearly among the best in her field.’
